The Dodge Dart is a car I frequently forget about with good reason.

For the price, you’d probably have expected a couple of Domino’s coupons, no?

That’s exactly what I thought of when I saw it.

I dunno, other than being generic, I haven’t heard anybody complain about them being unreliable? I have a friend who works for Chrysler at their Windsor, Ontario plant that owns a Dart with the 2.0L stick shift and he’s never had a problem with his so far.
Heck,
he routinely drives it all the way from Ontario to here in Nova Scotia 4 or so times a year to visit family and it’s not broken down on him once.

I just mean there’s nothing remarkable about it. It just... existed.

Ah, gotcha. I’m of the opinion that cars are what you make of them. If you love even the most generic econobox enough, it gains a certain value :)
I’ve actually always quite liked the look of the Dart...I wish we got the hatchback variant though (the FIAT Viaggio), as sedans aren’t as practical...

The vast majority of cars, CUVs, and trucks “just exist.” Yet each one has more than one fan. I for one don’t quite get the few people I know who are obsessed with Kia.

I hear the turbo motor has issues. Something with the valvetrain?

Sure? I don't know anything about them. But a former coworker, who now works at a Dodge dealer, stopped by the other day and we were chatting. So I just know what I heard from him.

Changed my 2016 Darts thermostat at 76000 and just changed my fuel pump today with 84000 miles. Always loved my dart and it’s a car that i know will need repairs and will have recalls here and there because everything is in human error just gotta take care of it . But theres a “bushing”recall as of now just got it in the mail

T he shift cables pop off, like the y used to on EVERY FWD MANUAL MOPAR EVER, but because everything is now a recall, its a recall.

Oh ok. I had heard about some kind of recall involving linkage bushings. Didn’t know they were falling right off!
